Scottish Labour MEPs re-elected

David Martin and Catherine Stihler have been re-elected as MEPs for Scotland.

David Martin MEP said:

"I am honoured to be re-elected to represent the people of Scotland in the European Parliament. I am determined to continue to use this platform to fight for jobs, social justice, fairness at work and equality for all in Scotland and across the EU."

Catherine Stihler MEP was elected as the youngest British MEP in 1999 and is the only female MEP in Scotland. She has proved herself a strong and committed campaigner for Scotland and has always stood up for Labour in Europe.

Catherine has special interests in consumer protection, economics, construction products and lung disease. She is a member of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Committee, and is a substitute on the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee.
