About

The European Parliamentary Labour Party brings together Britain's Labour MEPs as Labour's voice in Europe. There are currently 20 Labour MEPs.

Labour MEPs believe Britain is better off in Europe. We work to ensure British interests and Labour values are at the heart of the EU. We fight for decent jobs, economic stability, fairness and opportunity for all - at home and across our continent.

The leader of the EPLP Glenis Willmott MEP retired in early October and the new leader will be elected later this month. The deputy leader of the EPLP is Richard Corbett MEP; the chair of the EPLP is Theresa Griffin MEP; and the EPLP whip is Lucy Anderson MEP.

The EPLP is an integral part of the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists & Democrats in the European Parliament. Labour's MEPs are your voice in Europe, working to advance democracy, social justice, prosperity, peace and sustainable development, in the UK, EU and throughout the world.
