Labour MEPs confirm Glenis Willmott as Leader 

Labour MEPs met on Tuesday 9^th July to re-elect Glenis Willmott MEP as Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party (EPLP).

Labour MEPs also made the following appointments:

-         Claude Moraes MEP, Deputy Leader

-         Richard Howitt MEP, Chair

-         Brian Simpson MEP, Whip

Glenis Willmott MEP, who was first elected in January this year, said: "I feel privileged to have been confirmed as Leader of the European Parliamentary Labour Party (EPLP) and to lead our Labour MEPs in the newly elected European Parliament."

"Europe has such an important part to play in making our everyday lives better. Labour MEPs will work hard for British people right from the centre of the European Parliament."
