In the 21st Century we face new and unprecedented global challenges, from tackling climate change, to fighting international terrorism and sustaining growth and jobs in the face of changing global economic conditions. We will need an EU that is equipped with the tools to tackle these challenges. Labour MEPs work towards building a better working and more effective EU that works to find common solutions to common problems. This requires a set of EU institutions that are effective, efficient and accountable. 

A confident, outward-looking European Union has the opportunity to become a genuinely global player, benefiting from the opportunities of globalisation and setting a new agenda that emphasises openness, fairness and the importance of cooperation between nations in order to focus on the real issues that matter to people in the Member States.

From campaigning for a reformed Common Agricultural Policy and Fishing Policy to a more effective EU budget and to transparent politics, Labour MEPs are continuing to push for a better Europe. Labour MEPs are your full-time representatives at the heart of European decision-making, asking questions, knocking on doors, bringing the spotlight to shine in dark corners, and talking to their constituents back home. Only together can we build a better EU for a better Europe.
